RECOMMENDATIONS
Our Recommendations here at Ainer.org are a bit peculiar. Only the software, hardware, and services that we currently employ ourselves, and only those that we’ve had extensive experience with, will be featured here. Some of these recommendations will be directed towards affiliate links in an effort to generate more revenue and more resources for the site. However, with that said, it is only because we first came to recommend these services that we then took the time to develop a closer relationship with the companies that sell, provide, or manufacture our Recommendations.
Ultimately, it is our hope to form a suite of software, hardware, and services that can provide tiered, complimentary functions, that can be easily deployed and used (ideally, following our regularly updated and ever increasing guides), and then, most importantly, that can be enjoyed!
And that’s the big thing, all recommendations here at Ainer.org are simply tools. Tools should either make your life easier, make it more enjoyable, or meet some other need, want, or desire. If they’re just a hassle, or if you get hung up on some (likely not worthwhile) minutia, take a step back and reevaluate and see what you can change or do away with.
After much collective and individual experience in the technology (specifically, personal computer) realm, after testing many different competing software, hardware, and services, and with an admitted knack for rationally comparing potential alternatives, we feel we can get you on the right track in terms of what software, hardware, and services can make your computing, media, and leisure time more enjoyable and more fruitful.
Of course, if you’re a computer hobbyist, and like tooling around with technology, take our Recommendations and let us know what you think, or let us know if you find a possibly better solution or configuration for anything we recommend. We’re continually reevaluating our recommendations and are happy to hear conflicting reports. We can’t satisfy all people all the time of course, but if your own interests and philosophy of use approximates or matches our own, you should be well set!
If you’re interested in seeing more of our Recommendations stay tuned! Or, if you’d like to see a recommendation in a particular category added let us know!
